At the Private Equity International Awards 2018, Deutsche Beteiligungs AG ("DBAG") was once again honoured as the best private equity house in the German market ("Firm of the Year in Germany"). The jury emphasised DBAG's performance: the Company structured six new investments in 2018 – a year characterised by macroeconomic uncertainty.
"We feel at home in the German market", said Torsten Grede, Spokesman of DBAG's Board of Management. "For quite some time, we have worked on further developing Deutsche Beteiligung AG's profile as a private equity house in our segment – which, for example, is why we now also concentrate on companies outside our core sectors, in a targeted manner."
During 2018, DBAG co-invested alongside DBAG Fund VII in Karl Eugen Fischer, Kraft & Bauer and Sero. netzkontor nord, von Poll Immobilien and BTV multimedia were added to the portfolio of DBAG ECF. All told, during the past financial year DBAG's investment team thus initiated investment decisions of more than 300 million euros.
